About Me

My passion for Rolfing is inspired by how it invites individuals into a process that enables them to discover and integrate an alignment and ease of movement unique to their structure and needs.

Having worked as a dancer, teacher and choreographer for the past 30 years I am inspired by the mediums of movement and touch, believing they offer an invigorating and intrinsic understanding of the world around us, as well as the world within. My particular fascination with how each individual discovers greater physical freedom and expression has always underscored my work, leading me to explore and experience a range of approaches. As well as working as a Certfied Rolfer and Rolf Movement practitioner, I am qualified as a ScarWork™ Therapist (Sharon Wheeler), therapeutic massage practitioner, Franklin Method™ Educator, Scaravelli Inspired Yoga teacher, and (Hanna) Somatics Exercise Coach.

Alongside my Rolfing practice, I continue to work as a dance artist in a range of settings and a variety of ways, enjoying how the combination of roles nourish and inform each other. Past experiences have included regularly teaching abroad on behalf of the British Council, Head of Movement at Oxford School of Drama 199-2004, and  co-director of Independent Dance, a professional training organisation for dance artists, 1996-2015. In 2001-2004 I was a recipient of a National Endowment of Science, Technology and the Arts Fellowship for outstanding contribution to dance.
