About Me
I qualified as a Rolfer in March 2009. After taking a break from practiceย ย since Covid, I am now starting a practice again. Prior to Rolfing I was an Artist,Sculptor and Model maker here on the Isle of Wight. Throughout my working life I have always worked with my hands,in one form or another and this has given me a feeling of form and function. although I must confess I never had any inclination to follow any form of bodywork as a career, that is until I found Rolfing Structural integration (or rather it found me) during receiving Rolfing treatment myself and halfway through the 10 sessions i suddenly realised Wow! this really works, and i would like to do this.I mentioned this to my practitioner and after encouragement from him, he gave me the appropriate information. I applied for the training and graduated in 2009.
Having a background in Tai Chi since 1985 and now teaching my own students, I believe this is also helpful in the application of my Rolfing practice. giving me a useful understanding of the bodyโs movement and energy flow, and how we can own our own body and allow that body to move and function as efficiently as possible.
